Marking the 20th anniversary of the International Maritime Organization Convention's entry into force on March 17, 1978, the IMO's 10th Assembly resolved in November 1977 to designate March 17 as the annual "International Day of Navigation," thus initiating the celebration.

Senda headquartered in Lujiazui, Pudong, Shanghai.
